43 Earthquake Shook Southcentral This Morning

The 4.3 quake — initially reported as a 4.2, but upgraded by the Alaska Earthquake Center — struck at 8:44 a.m., 57 kilometers east-southeast of Whittier at a depth of 31 kilometers. Initial reports from the USGS’s indicated the quake was felt in Seward, Girdwood and Anchorage.last_img
