SLFP invites leftist parties to work with them at polls

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) today invited leftist parties to work with them to form the next Government.SLFP General Secretary Duminda Dissanayake said that the SLFP will look to form a new Government at the next Parliamentary elections. He said the SLFP, led by President Maithripala Sirisena, is ready to work with leftist parties in a political alliance.Dissanayake also said the SLFP will not agree to the demands of the joint opposition. The SLFP General Secretary was speaking at a media briefing in Colombo today. (Colombo Gazette)
